“By 1960, shortly after Nigeria’s independence, the Prime Minister, Alhaji Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, had directed the Principal of King’s College, Lagos, Mr. P.H. Davies, to provide places, annually, for at least 15 boys from the North, whether or not they passed the requisite regular entrance examination.”
— Col. Ben Gbulie (rtd) in “Nigeria’s Five Majors” p. 36, published first in 1981.
“In an attempt to catch up militarily with the South, the Northern politicians had thrown out all discretion. They had lowered standards of admission drastically, settling for the minimum. For as I recalled, all the Northerners in my intake had been trained at the Mons Officer Cadet School in Aldershot. And they had become officers after barely six months of military training, whereas those of us who had been sent to Sandhurst had had to do two long years to earn the Queen’s Commission. The implications were quite clear – and most disturbing. Not only had these Northerners become commissioned officers before we were half-way through our first year at Sandhurst, they had all risen to the enviable rank of Captain before we could even appear at the sovereign’s parade which served essentially as a prerequisite for our passing out as Second Lieutenants.”
— Col. Ben Gbulie (rtd) in “Nigeria’s Five Majors, pages 12 – 13, Published 1981.
“By 1964 a group of young Nigerian officer-cadets, mostly Northerners, had been declared academically unfit and hence repatriated by the Canadian military authorities. These cadets were however pronounced commissioned by the Nigerian Federal Government no sooner than they had arrived at the Ikeja Airport. Consequently they had had to be absorbed into the Nigerian Army as commissioned officers, even though they had received no requisite military training.”
—– Col Ben Gbulie (rtd) in “Nigeria’s Five Majors” page 13, published 1981.
“Zak (Maimalari) had held the rank of Captain in 1960. But before my return from the United Kingdom in 1963, he had soared to the top rank of Brigadier. In other words, he had risen from Captain to Temporary/Major, to Substatntive/Major, to Temporary/Lieutenant-Colonel, to Substantive/Colonel and then to Brigadier, all within that short span of time. It was just scandalous”

LET US STOP THESE COMPUTER WORKS. This says Hausa was not offered. Another says it was. Buhari should end this by driving to WAEC and collecting the result.
The truth remains that Buhari in his superiority and ego that did not deem it necessary to go to Oputa Panel, feel Nigerians are too small to question his fitness for purpose. He does not see the constitution as supreme, after all he once threw it out the window and into the gutter. WE CANNOT BE LAWLESS.
The rules are clear, except to a nitwit. “PRESENT YOUR CERTIFICATE”. Instead he presented an affidavit that basically said and says nothing. Nigerians, in their right to know who they are employing as their president, asked to know his credentials. He left everyone hanging, and then from pressure….pressure that is absolutely unnecessary, he finally, hesitantly addresses a press conference still without said credentials. What employee does that? Does he not know the presidency is a job? Are you not going to be paid? Will you not do what is moot? American presidents bring their tax forms. The government has IRS that can bring the tax forms out, yet the presidents bring their tax records. Is that not what should obtain? Yet this dictator and Fulani overlord takes Nigeria for a ride and is forced by the court of public opinion to do a move that till now has not put the matter to rest. WAEC office is in Lagos and Abuja and all state capitals. Those who lose their WASC go to the office and not to the school. The certificates have been issued. You do not use statements of result anymore. WHY CANNOT THIS MAN EVER FOLLOW RULES? If he is not taking a coup, he is overruling the courts and sending people to jail without medicare. WHY CANNOT HE FOLLOW SIMPLE LAID DOWN RULES?
The rule is clear, submit your certificates. If it were any other country, or if it was a job interview, would it mattr if he had it or not? Has he not failed to provide it? Why ask the army and “SWEAR SOLEMNLY” and later come to say “YOU ASSUMED”? Do you solemnly swear an assumption? You make a statement you do not know if true, IS THAT NOT PERJURY? Affidavits are cocksure statement upon honour and INTEGRITY and BUHARI FAILED WOEFULLY in assuming.
We want the campaign back to the issues of his destroying our democracy and costing us billions. To issues of his destroying trains and GEJ bringing them back. WE WANT TO TALK ABOUT HIS “DOG AND BABOON STATEMENT” that has his supporters attacking the president in two states and even in Katsina where the president pulled a large crowd and Bauchi where again the presiden pulled a large crowd, but his brigands attacked them and supporters of the gentle president had to hide and pretend not to want GEJ. We want to continue issues of those who died in 2011 and why he has not condoled with the still grieving mothers and instead saying more will die. We want to know why he said Sahria should be all over Nigeria when Mosques in many states are no more than ten. We want to know if he will be as innefectual as he was in 1983-1985 where all foreign papers said same. We want to know how he plans to beat GEJ’s farm revilution/transformation. We want to know why all the roads PTF built, none is worthy of photograph while many built since independence is motorable still. Why the roads in front of PTI Effurun is still standard though built by Gowon and his are all gone. We want to know about his health so we do not have another Yar”Adua on our hands. We want to know why he said he will stabilize price of fuel. We want to know so many things. Instead however, he has distracted us from concentrating on issues with his impunity. To obey simple instructions and spare us this drama, NO.
Honestly, I want to know why SAI BUHARI is followed by violence? WHY IS THAT SO. We have counted the amount of “die, collapse, destroy” used in his campaign and all of it forebodes death, WHY?
These are the issues before us. HOWEVER, BUHARI HAS A DATE WITH WAEC OFFICE AND A PRESENTATION OF HIS CERTIFICATE AND NOT STATEMENT OF RESULT 53 YEARS LATER.
And as an aside, to explain his “integrity”, he should tell us how to go from cadet to 2nd lieutenant less than a year after joining the army with a principal’s recommendation. To be an officer in that time, you must be a graduate.
Nigeria waits on Buhari to present his WASC CERTIFICATE and not statement of result. IT IS EASY TO GET
Okay that was Idi Amin’s evil second in command. Amin once told him “Mallam mugu, eat snake, snake will make you strong” To which Mallam Mugu replied “I rather eat at the chicken”
Today, Buhari has brought back the whole behaviour that made many profile Northerners as “Mugu” (not brilliant) and Adamu as a term for “not savvy”. You will hear a Warri boy say “the guy catch me Mugu” meaning he played me for a fool” or you will hear “You be real Adamu” meaning “you are stupid”. Or when you try to deceive someone, he will say “you see Hausa mark for my face?” meaning, do I look stupid to you?
Now make no mistake, Hausa-Fulani folks are smart . Ahmahdu Bello had a strategy for endless Northern survival…actually dominance. Aminu Kanu is a darling of a politician. Kingibe is regal and brilliant. He floored MKO Abiola in that debate. El Rufai beat all Nigerians to the use of twitter. He showed brilliance and forward thinking that totally destroyed the stereotype that Hausa-Fulani are dumb. El Rufai is a man who has made a name for himself. Over-promoted YES, but he at least showed brilliance. There is thisMontaz Usman Abubakar whose dreams, goals and aspiration I am loving. We battle inbox endlessly. He came second in PDP’s race to House of Rep. They way he talks, I have had to look at his pictures severally to be sure he is Northern because his brilliance shines through.
However Buhari and his forgers are a disgrace to the North and Nigeria. How could they present this? Buhari must have sen it, hence he knew the number on the certificate. Yet Buhari approved this shoddy job. No wonder as Idiagbon traveled, they removed his unintelligent shoddy behind from Dodan Barracks (old “Aso Rock” in Lagos).
Who did this forgery that took the very campaign voucher poster and pasted as passport for Buhari, when none is even needed? How dare they place it over written material? How could they leave cap on the head of Buhari for God’s sake????
The third picture is how Buhari looked at around 17-24 that we are told is he in and around that time in the picture with a white man. Did Buhari spend years and years and years in secondary school to now look like a 46 years old man in school passport? Could they not find anymore youth picture of him? Ajekpako life bad sha!
This is a shoddy job and it is reflective of what Buhari will do with our economy and all else…SHODDY, SHAMEFUL, DISGRACE.
@Montazz, abeg make me proud as a funky mallam and we will support you should you need our help or votes later in life. Look to Aminu Kano and Kingibe for what a man must do to be acceptable all over. We will all keep reigion at home and play together. But if you bring it to the party like Buhari, you will leave alone.
And above all, NO FALL WE HAND WITH THIS TYPE OF NONSENSE! I kno you hav he ability not to disgrace self like Buhari.
