Arsenal transfer news: Chelsea’s Petr Cech denies reports suggesting Gunners deal is done

No deal: Cech retweeted a message from his PR company on Monday evening

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is expected to complete an £11m move to Arsenal in the coming days but the Czech international confirmed no deal has yet been done.

The 33-year-old took to Twitter on Monday evening amid reports his much-anticipated move across London to Emirates Stadium has been completed and retweeted a post from his representatives at Sports PR Company confirming nothing was over the line.

Cech’s PR company tweeted: “As we told you, No transfer deal has been done yet for PetrCech – as soon as any newsPetrCech will confirm.”

And the goalkeeper re-posted the message to his own Twitter feed.

Standard Sport understands Cech is on the brink of finalising a move away from Stamford Bridge and his current team-mates at Chelsea believe he will be playing for Arsene Wenger’s side next season.

It comes after John Terry told TalkSPORT on Monday that Cech will save the Gunners up to 15 points in the 2015/16 campaign.
