FBI still does not have warrant to review new Abedin emails linked to Clinton probe

When FBI Director James Comey wrote his bombshell letter to Congress on Friday about newly discovered emails that were potentially “pertinent” to the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server, agents had not been able to review any of the material, because the bureau had not yet gotten a search warrant to read them, three government officials who have been briefed on the probe told Yahoo News.

At the time Comey wrote the letter, “he had no idea what was in the content of the emails,” one of the officials said, referring to recently discovered emails that were found on the laptop of disgraced ex-Rep. Anthony Weiner, the estranged husband of top Clinton aide Huma Abedin. Weiner is under investigation for allegedly sending illicit text messages to a 15-year-old girl.

As of Saturday night, the FBI was still in talks with the Justice Department about obtaining a warrant that would allow agency officials to read any of the newly discovered Abedin emails, and therefore was still in the dark about whether they include any classified material that the bureau has not already seen.

“We do not have a warrant,” a senior law enforcement official said. “Discussions are under way [between the FBI and the Justice Department] as to the best way to move forward.”

Man confesses to killing his girlfriend because she said no to his marriage proposal

43 year old Jason Eaton walked into an Indiana Police station on Tuesday October 25 & told officers that he had killed his girlfriend, Wendy Sabatini. Alfred Hitchcock’s Muse Tippi Hedren Claims the Director Stalked and Sexually Assaulted Her in the ’60s

Tippi Hedren claims she was sexually assaulted by director Alfred Hitchcock while working on his films The Birds and Marnie.

In her upcoming memoir, Tippi, the legendary actress and Hitchcock muse, 86, says that celebrated director would have his driver drive past her home, and also asked her to “touch him” while they were working on The Birds, according to excerpts featured by The New York Post

She also says Hitchcock once tried to force her to kiss him in the back of a limo.

“It was an awful, awful moment,” she writes in the book.

However, she didn’t tell anyone about the alleged encounter because “sexual harassment and stalking were terms that didn’t exist” in the early 1960s.

Australia asylum: Arrivals by boat face lifetime visa ban

Refugee advocates hold a banner during a protest in central Sydney, Australia, October 5, 2016

Australia has unveiled tough new plans to bar any asylum seekers who try to reach the country by boat from ever being able to enter the country.

The lifetime ban on visas would apply even to those travelling as tourists, for business, or who married an Australian.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull said the move would send “the strongest possible signal” to people-smugglers.

The proposed ban is to be put to parliament later this week.

Australia transports asylum seekers who arrive by boat to off-shore processing centres in Nauru and Papua New Guinea’s Manus Island.

Even if found to be genuine refugees, they are already blocked from being resettled in Australia. They can either return home, be resettled on Manus or Nauru, or go to a third country.

Ex-Putin adviser’s death in US ‘accident’

A former close adviser to Russian President Vladimir Putin died last year during a drinking binge in which he apparently fell repeatedly and suffered a lethal head injury, the US Justice Department says.

Mikhail Lesin, 57, a former press minister who once led several of Russia’s most popular news outlets and helped create the state’s English-language news channel RT, was found dead on November 5, 2015, at the Dupont Circle Hotel in the US capital.

Bruises all over his body had fuelled questions about the death, but the injuries were explained by authorities as the result of multiple falls.

The city medical examiner first listed the manner of death as undetermined but, after a nearly year-long investigation by Washington DC police and the FBI, revised the finding to accidental with acute ethanol intoxication as a contributing cause of death, the Justice Department said.

Someone Was Actually Arrested For In-Person Voter Fraud. She’s A Trump Supporter.

Donald Trump regularly claims that the presidential election is “rigged” against him, thanks in part to “all too common” instances of voter fraud. “Watch Philadelphia. Watch St. Louis. Watch Chicago, watch Chicago. Watch so many other places,” the GOP nominee urged his supporters at a recent rally.

Election experts typically respond by pointing out that instances of fraud by voters at the polls are actually remarkably rare.

But they do happen. Case in point: Police in Des Moines, Iowa, said Friday that they had arrested Terri Lynn Rote, 55, on suspicion of voting twice in the general election.

Rote, a registered Republican, allegedly submitted ballots at two different early-voting locations in Polk County, Iowa, according to local media reports. She has been charged with first-degree election misconduct, a felony.

“I wasn’t planning on doing it twice. It was a spur of the moment,” Rote told Iowa Public Radio. “The polls are rigged.” She said she feared her first vote for Trump would be changed to a vote for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

In February, a reporter for The Blaze, a conservative website run by Glenn Beck, interviewed and photographed Rote, who was then planning to support Trump in the Iowa caucuses.
