Why Onyekuru snubbed Arsenal for Everton

The Director of Aspire Football Dreams (Nigeria), Col. Sam Ahmedu (retd.), has said that Henry Onyekuru chose Everton over Arsenal, because the Toffees wanted him more.

Ahmedu played an important role in the development of Onyekuru. And although he admits he would have preferred him at Arsenal, he believes the move is a good one.

Onyekuru has signed for Everton on Tuesday, but will spend next season on loan at Anderlecht, as he does not qualify for a UK work permit.    Continue reading

FIFA report: England 2018 bid plan a ‘form of bribery’

FIFA report: England 2018 bid plan a 'form of bribery'

A plan for England to play a friendly in Thailand to win backing for their 2018 World Cup bid was “a form of bribery”, investigators were told.

Ex-Football Association chairman Geoff Thompson made the admission when interviewed during an inquiry into the 2018 and 2022 World Cup hosting bids.

On Tuesday, football’s world governing body Fifa released the full 2014 report of the investigation.

That followed leaked extracts being published by German newspaper Bild.

The 422-page report was written by former Fifa independent ethics investigator Michael Garcia.

He quit in protest when the organisation only released a 42-page summary of his document.

That version cleared Russia and Qatar, winners of the 2018 and 2022 hosting rights respectively, of corruption allegations.               Continue reading

Fast rising actress, Ruth Eze narrates her unplesant encounter with lesbians, most especially, those resident in Abuja. This is coming on the heels of her recent ordeal in the hands of some Abuja-based big babes who mistook her for a lesbian.
Eze relays her ordeal to The Sun:
“Last weekend, I went to Abuja for a movie production, I didn’t know how some ladies got to know I was in town. The ugly drama started inside the hotel where I was lodged. They came in disguise as colleagues based in Abuja. At first, I didn’t know they had ulterior motives, so I welcomed them with open arms. Suddenly, they started saying some erotic things to me; I ignored them and kept pressing my phone.”
